PP43XR - Glock 43X w/ Rail
grabcad
UPDATE: I've removed the .STL files from this model because the design has been much improved since this was originally posted. Please download one of my more recent models instead. This is a G43X compatible frame with a Pictatinny accessory rail. The rail is short so most accessories will protrude further than the barrel, but it looks cool anyway. As with all of my PP43XX models, this requires the rails from the SS80 builders kit and has been tested in PLA plus/pro. Filaments from eSun, Polymaker, and 3DFuel have all yielded good results. When your print is done, squeeze the walls at the top of the nose between your fingers. It's okay for there to be some flex, but if you hear any crackling sounds the frame is too brittle and should be scrapped. If it can't withstand the force from your fingers, it definitely won't fare well if you unleash a live round. To complete the frame, pop in the rails and drill out the holes using the drill bits from the SS80 kit. Place a straight edge on the front and back rails to make sure they line up. If it looks good, you can use it with other G43X parts. If the front and back rails are too far askew, throw the frame away. It's probably warped from uneven cooling and/or bad adhesion to the bed. Use an OEM trigger if possible- they are much more forgiving of tolerances than the aftermarket G43 triggers.Using an Ender 3, I've gotten the best results printing upside down (grip up) with tree supports, a generous brim, and reduced (~15%) fan cooling. Print at 215C or higher for stronger prints. Also included is a custom magazine release for use with the PP43XX models, since many parts kits include only the G43 release which is shorter. The PP mag release has an enlarged "claw" and has been tested to work with both OEM and Shield Arms magazines.Credits: The model was forked from the AWCY E43 release which can be found on Odysee.
