PowerSpec/Flashforge Flexion Front Duct
thingiverse
Hi Guys, I'm using a PowerSpec ultra with Dual Flexion Extruders, where I heated up the fan shroud and flexed it to drop the ends down a few more mm for better alignment to the nozzles with this new setup. This might not be an issue for anyone else, but I figured I'd share it just in case. I want to thank DrLex for designing something great and make sure all credit for this model goes to him. My modifications now have the fan tips sitting 5mm lower than before, and I added a second tab that fits into the first notch on the carriage to give more stability. In my experience, the original design wobbled a bit, but it could've been due to my printer settings. This does create a 90-degree overhang, so I recommend adding support just in this spot. **Edit 11/26/2017 - I found out that I extended it too far and the duct was actually touching my prints, so I shortened it a bit. I believe this now sits 2mm lower than DrLex's original design, which was optimized for a 10mm "nozzle depth." This version is a 12mm "nozzle depth." **Edit 11/29/2017 - I had some issues with print quality when switching to PC, so I made the body a little thicker and added some reinforcement to the secondary tab. I'll upload pictures of the final product when it's complete.
