PowerMinty 1.2 - OrangePi Zero Handheld Retro Game Console
thingiverse
#Work in Progress# **Please check my new design [here](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3090433).** Low-budget handheld console powered by Orange Pi Zero with 2.4 TFT LCD, inspired by Project MintyPi. Works without custom PCBs but I recommend using [this](https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/zUNmnlLF) one or similar for a display. This project is not recommended for beginners as some soldering skills are required (removal of the Ethernet socket, an USB port and the H1102NL chip). Overall everything works. Battery power still untested (unlike Raspberry Pi Zero, Orange Pi Zero doesn't work on directly connected 3.7V battery). ***September 19, 2018 - Joystick tested, works great with N64 games and as emulated dpad. I uploaded code to get it working to my GitHub page. You can find a code for matrix keyboard with joystick [here](https://gist.github.com/wojtekpil/deaba3c57fbedfa619a594915e328f7a). #Dimensions# *H: 28 mm, W: 93.4 mm, L:64.4 mm* #BOM# - Orange Pi Zero - 2.4 TFT LCD - PSP1000 joystick - Heatsink for CPU - Tactile switches - NDSL buttons - Power switch - Micro USB battery charger - 3.7V lipo battery (SAMSUNG AB043446BE) - 20mm slim speaker - Small audio amplifier/usb sound card *☑ - already bought* *☐ - collecting funds* #Changelog# 1.21 - Smooth version: no support needed for inset around buttons, cable hole in a button's plate, smaller screen frame for better fit. 1.20 - Smooth version, corrected display position, added decals, little shape modifications, more spacing in hinge area. 1.10 - Initial version
