Powermatic 3520a Lathe Spindle Lock
thingiverse
My recently acquired PM3520a lathe was missing the spindle lock (I suspect the high school shop teacher removed it to prevent students from pushing the spindle lock while the lathe was running). Since the spindle lock is intended only to lock it while attaching and removing chucks, a 3D print is plenty sufficient. This fit my spindle almost perfectly. I had to file the keyway slot just a bit. There is a guide hole perpendicular to the key slot. Drill this out a bit smaller than a set screw and use the setscrew to thread the hole (or use a proper tap if you insist). I intended to print with 100% fill, but forgot and printed with 25%. It seems plenty tough as is. I uploaded the STL and the Freecad model. I hope this helps someone!
