PowerBook 1400 CD-ROM Drive Bezel Brackets
thingiverse
Apple's Macintosh PowerBook 1400 has a common failure these days -- the thin brackets that hold the front bezel to the CD-ROM drive module tend to crack and break. Since the machine is from 1996, brittle plastics are to be expected, so these new brackets replace the original ones entirely. You'll need to trim away what's left of the original brackets and sand the area smooth. Then, install these brackets to the drive module, and insert the module into the computer. Gluing the bezel to the brackets while inside the PowerBook will make sure you get it aligned correctly -- Apple left very little tolerance with the fit. CA glue designed for plastics should work well.
