PowerBelt3D Zero Stainless Steel Roller End Caps
thingiverse
The PowerBelt3d Zero printer uses PVC rollers, which warp fairly quickly. I replaced them with Thin-Wall 304/304L Stainless Steel Unthreaded Pipe, 1-1/4 Pipe Size, 6 Feet Long, 4347K57 from McMaster Carr. I then designed these end caps to fully surround the pipe and to provide 15 mm of support for the 5 mm axle rather than the original 3 mm. I could only find 50 mm long m5 screws at my local hardware store, so I had to countersink the screw that attaches to the pulley, which is why there are two designs. The end caps are press fit, so no screws are required to prevent slippage between the end caps and the rollers. I pressed them in place with large clamps used for woodworking. Printed on a Prusa MK3S, the parts are as dimensionally accurate as parts turned on a lathe.
