Powerbank Housing - Full Replacement for FoxNovo FP20
thingiverse
This easy-to-print Powerbank housing is suitable only for the following products: Foxnovo FP20 (20000mAh) or IVSO 20000mAh. Six screws M3x8 are required, and no further components are needed. The replacement housing is primarily designed to replace a damaged original housing. Alternatively, you can use a new battery with the still functioning electronics. Never use a damaged battery! The electronics must also be checked for damage and correct functioning. This housing is suitable for the original Li-Polymer flat cell pack (2x 3.7V / 10000mAh / Size: 19.5 x 66.0 x 119.5mm) and the complete electronics. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 33% Post-Printing Useful tips for identifying the suitable products: Both power banks are identical in dimensions, capacity, connections (2x Micro-USB-In / 2x USB-Out), and functionality. The IVSO is presumably the newer version, and may not fit exactly to the printable case. Externally recognizable differences between Foxnovo and IVSO include product name and a reduced output power (400mA lower). The displays of both power banks show in the first line: USB output voltage (X.xxV), added current of both USB connections (X.xxA). In the second line is shown alternately: remaining capacity / used capacity. How I Designed This A sloppy function test gave me work. My Foxnovo FP20 had a total failure during or after normal use. The Powerbank was never knocked down or mechanically damaged in any other way. A reactivation was not possible, so I disassembled the Powerbank completely. The original housing was not suitable for disassembly and did not survive this procedure without visible damage. I successfully separated the battery and electronics from the housing without additional damage. I disconnected the electronics from the battery for a few minutes, and after a short connection test everything seemed to work again. Full of joy, I began to construct a new housing for the components. Unfortunately only at the end, when everything fit perfectly mechanically, I made another function test. I tried to charge a device, which did not work. I was able to charge the Powerbank, but I could not use any devices with it. So it happened: A sloppy function test gave me work and a currently unusable housing. Someone who just needs a new battery pack for these powerbanks can start with a printed case. That's why I decided to make this design freely available.
