We're transforming a Power Wheels Wild Thing into a mobility aid for kids by installing a custom controller that allows early access to mobility. The original system relies on hall effect sensors on the levers but demands two hands to operate, which isn't suitable for our needs. Our new setup utilizes an Arduino board and Sabertooth module, granting us control over speed limits, reducing torque jerks, and introducing switch-controlled input options that weren't present in the factory controller.
