Power Umbilical Cord Support for 20x20 Rail
thingiverse
The grouping of wires that connects the mainboard to the hotend assembly on the X-Axis is called the "umbilical". This design I uploaded is a way to support the umbilical using the 20x20 rail at the top of the printer as opposed to supporting it by zip-tying it to the Bowden tube. There are 2 different designs: 1) A basic support bracket and 2) A support bracket that also supports a digital temperature/humidity console. Use a wire hanger to create the actual support arm as detailed in the uploaded pictures. Using a hanger wire gives tremendous flexibility to the design. The digital console has basic dimensions of 48mm x 28.6mm x 15.2mm (length x height x depth). I purchased a few of these from Amazon: Veanic 4-Pack Mini Digital Electronic Temperature Humidity Meters. Enjoy.
