Power Switch Box for Geeetech Full Metal Aluminium Printer
thingiverse
The printer came with just wiring and switches, and after two shocks from touching the power lead when turning it on, I decided to build a box to cover these wires. Also makes the unit look cooler. This is a modified version of this model:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:806826 Resized it, added the power plug, and voila - protection! I intend screwing this onto the back of the PSU. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech Full Metal Aluminium Prusa X3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: I actually printed this without any supports. If at all supports may be needed for the hole of the Power plug. Any droop can be filed away and is hidden by the plug itself. I did not need supports for the top of the box because of the slope. Sketchup STL included in case any mods needed. You could add a logo or your name like I did. Post-Printing Screw it onto the holes on the PSU. You may need two more holes drilled. NO MORE SHOCKS!
