Power switch Anet A8 3d printer (NEWEST MODEL)
thingiverse
The power switch cover was designed for the latest Anet A8 printer model that I acquired in September 2016. The inspiration behind this design came from an existing power switch cover on Thingiverse, which unfortunately was tailored for an older version of the printer. Since I couldn't modify the original design to fit my needs, I decided to start from scratch and create a new one. Important considerations: 1. A screw hole 3 mm in diameter is located on the right side of your power supply unit. The cover utilizes this existing feature. 2. To ensure secure attachment, I added an additional screw support on the left side. You will need to drill a 3.5mm hole into the printer's side, as I had to use an oven-headed nail to create the necessary opening in my acrylic glass. This design is optimized for printing without any support material. Update: On January 24th, 2016, I enlarged the cover by 5 mm to accommodate a power socket with two screws. By January 30th, 2016, I had printed and installed my latest model, which looks fantastic. The switch plug used in this design can be found on eBay. To see how this project came together, check out the video on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:469913 Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Dreamer Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.30mm Infill: 10% Notes: When possible, set a higher distance between rafts and the model to avoid the bottom side from sticking too strongly to the rafts.
