Power Supply Mounting Brackets

Power Supply Mounting Brackets

thingiverse

I designed mounting brackets for my Prusa power supply, placed at the back of the print bed. Created using AutoCAD 2011 and printed in black ABS on my Prusa Mendel w/ heated bed. These brackets were initially difficult to print due to their small, elongated surfaces, but adding pads to lift points resolved this issue. Choose between STLs with or without pads, along with the DWG file. I printed mine using 2 perimeters and 40% infil, suggesting 100% infil if your slicer generates a gap. My nozzle (0.65mm) is larger than the intended 0.5mm. Attach M4 x 8mm flat heads (or pan/cap head screws for better results) to mount the power supply, ensuring not to over-tighten and split printed layers. The mount snaps onto the frame tightly when all screws are in place, with no movement of the power supply. The power switch fits into a hole on the frame vertex, providing a secure fit without needing further 3D printing.
