I created this device to automatically shut off my wife's e-bike charger when not in use. To recognize the charging cable's presence, I employed a micro switch in normally-closed configuration. When the charging cable is dangling, the charger turns off. Conversely, when it's not hanging, the charger turns on. This version can be easily installed by hanging it from an electrical box or mounting it to the wall using screws. The upper screw hole has a small wall covering it and accommodates countersunk head screws perfectly. The lower screw hole is versatile and can be used for either a screw or as a passage for a second cable. For the micro switch, I opted for the long hinge version, utilizing the COMMON and NORMALLY CLOSED contacts. Please refer to the attached eBay screenshot for an example; ensure you purchase a micro switch capable of managing your power consumption! To close the box, I utilized five m3 x 10mm countersunk head screws. To secure the micro switch, I used m3 x 25 mm countersunk head screws with nuts and cut them to size (remember to place the screws from the box side and the nuts on the cover side). Attached is the charger support designed for 42 x 60 mm chargers. The support features a precise slot for the power supply LED.
