Power Stick - Good for Dremels, Fans, Blenders and More!
thingiverse
Power Stick enables users to add motion to their designs by entering the dimensions of any motor, then plugging it into their project. This versatile tool is suitable for powering various devices such as dremels, electric toothbrushes, immersion blenders, fans, power screwdrivers, robots, and handheld vacuums. The goal of Power Stick is to standardize adding motion to creative projects, making it easier for makers to print useful powered items at home. With its simple design, users can assemble it themselves or purchase an assembled version from a helpful friend. Designer welcomes suggestions for improvement and plans to work on additional designs to accompany the Power Stick, including a potential handheld vacuum printed with coffee filters. The process is straightforward - enter motor length and diameter, battery holder size, and power switch dimensions, then print. Improvements are in the works, such as allowing users to input motor voltage for automatic cavity sizing, enhancing side gills for attachment points, adding a snap-on cap for the back end, and refining front alignment holes based on user feedback. Future plans also include developing gearboxes that can snap onto the Power Stick.
