Exploring online resources revealed numerous aids designed to assist individuals with eating disabilities, but unfortunately, none were tailored for optimal ergonomics. The typical hand position required for most devices was pronated, leading to difficulties in using them effectively. To better understand the challenges posed by existing designs, I modeled several of these devices and found them to be quite cumbersome to use. A neutral hand position, however, significantly improved the overall experience. It reduced wrist strain, minimized food drop-offs, created a larger eating area, and increased the angle for more comfortable eating. The Power Ring is an innovative, flexible platform that allows users to adjust its size to accommodate their individual needs. By analyzing various hand sizes, I generated models tailored for men's maximum and average hands, women's average hands, and children's average hands as well as female minimum hands. This design is suitable for both forks and spoons. To further demonstrate the Power Ring's flexibility, I designed a hook model that showcases its adaptability.
