Human: 150mm x 150mm x 150mm Finally, I know- I'm sorry! Here's the lamp shade I designed for the @Autodesk contest during design week in Portland, Oregon. Yes, I won first prize- totally grateful for that, thank you everyone who voted for my design! You know who you are! There have been revisions made to the shade since the first shade I had printed for the contest. The only difference from the lamp shade entry and these files is how the pieces fit together. Currently, the shades that I know of in existence were printed with glow-in-the-dark filament. The lamp glowing after you turn it off is pretty awesome. Please review the instructions for printing and assembly. Thank you and enjoy my lamp shade! Instructions This item is intended to be used with other items of electrical nature. I advise you to be safe. I know it might sound silly, but hey- it's not my fault if something were to happen. ASSEMBLY REQUIRED! There are a total of six files required to complete the Power My Circuit lamp shade. You'll find four sides, one top, and two different base sizes. MEASURE YOUR LAMP! The provided lamp base sizes are for a 30mm and a 35mm lamp. These sizes are based on the light fitting, not the actual size of the hole in the base. The hole in the base is slightly larger to accommodate for a snug fit around your light bulb fixture. Intended for light bulbs no taller than the US standard. If you use a bulb any bigger, keep in mind the space needed between the top of the shade and the bulb to prevent melting. Use a smaller bulb if it makes you feel safer. Each side fits into the respective side via a hinge. Each hinge can be locked into place by using a small piece of 1.75mm filament or anything else that fits into a 2mm hole. The top of the shade goes onto the sides using a peg and hole closure. I advise you to not glue the top to the sides- unless, of course, you don't plan to change the light bulb. After assembling the four sides and placing on the top, you can place the shade over the printed base for a snug fit. If you encounter any problems assembling this lamp shade, please feel free to contact me or leave a comment here. Thank you! Enjoy your awesome lamp! Notes on how I made my design: I started this design in Illustrator with line art and then exported an SVG file. I brought the SVG file into 123Design and started my models. The remaining work was all finished in 123Design. Future designs will most likely be done using Fusion360 instead, because the people at Autodesk are just so awesome!
