I'm excited to try out this motorized Grinder for the first time. I've got a N20 Geared Motor running at 6V, which currently spins at 600rpm, but I just ordered one that runs at 100rpm - I think less revolution would be more effective. My printed version is built from scratch, with me developing and printing individual parts before assembling them later. The download comes pre-assembled and ready to use. All the parts are printable, including a 3mm square rod that serves as a guide in every hole. You'll just need to attach the endcaps using glue, and for added stability, you can also secure the cutting wheels on the rod. Mounting the rod and cutting wheels requires some finesse, especially when gluing them into place. I printed my cutting wheels entirely from PLA, which has worked out fine so far. However, my motor's low torque causes it to stall occasionally, so I'm looking forward to switching to 100rpm. The gears are printed with 2mm walls and 25% infill, resulting in smooth operation and easy printing - just be sure to print them at a slower pace. There are two cutting wheel designs available: the current two-bladed version is performing well, while the four-bladed design remains untested. I hope you enjoy using this Grinder; Version two is almost complete. Future enhancements will include a built-in 18650 power supply, RPM control, and direction switch - this way, you can reverse the motor if it gets jammed. Additionally, Part two will feature bearings inside and a tray with meshes and separate drawers for herbs. This new design is significantly larger than before, with improved gearing for even less rpm on the motor needed, resulting in more torque from the motor. The system will also be upgraded to 12V for increased torque.
