Power Cord mod for Snap Together Mini Lamp

Create a working mini lamp! I loved Makerbot's Snap Together Mini Lamp (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27062). It's cute, but I thought there was something more to be added. A thin USB cable or an old mouse cord can be threaded through the base to the shade as shown in the photos. The bulb is from Mattraption's original design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26920). If you're feeling adventurous, a sketch of the LED circuit is attached and some assembly notes below.
