Power Boat, Speed Boat 29"
thingiverse
Inspirated from Wersy's Boats, I decide to build an even more powerful Boat. After scouring the entire internet, I found nothing suitable to be printed. So I sit down at my PC and design a new one. The idea is to create the "Mystic Miss Geico". Now it's ready to be posted. It's a 29-inch Catamaran and I believe it's extremely fast as a 3D printed Boat. I print it with PLA (easy to work with) using standard settings: Outer Shells 3, Bottom Layers 3, Top Layers 3. The infill I use is 20% except for the 3.stl and v.stl files which are 10%. All Files are arranged to print without Support Material. The best adhesive for PLA is Dichloromethane, available online, and mixing it with small pieces of PLA (about 20-30%) for a few hours results in a very good adhesive for PLA. I posted the entire Hull and Cockpit, if someone wants to cut or scale it themselves. Good luck! The videos can be seen here: https://youtu.be/OTwGGEGWpyc https://youtu.be/4WLjYlLCVXA PS: We glued the inner "Hole" with a thin layer of fiberglass; it seems unstable. A friend's fantastic Airbrush did an awesome job. Post 9.08.2017 I posted some new STL files to my project, splitting the whole hull into left and right sides for people with smaller printers. I hope this is helpful, now you can rotate and cut the height yourself, especially suitable for your printer.
