Powder Duster for Dust Explosion Apparatus

This is a small but important part of a dust explosion apparatus. To construct the dust explosion apparatus, first make a 1.0 cm diameter hole near the bottom of a coffee can. Next thread a rubber tubing through the coffee can, then connect it to duster. Place dry cornstarch, flour or milk powder in the duster until the vial is one-third full. Set the duster to one side of the coffee can, and pull the excess rubber tubing out of the coffee can. Place a tee candle on the other side of the coffee can and light the candle. Place the plastic lid on the coffee can and quickly blow hard and long into the rubber tubing. The powder fill the can which causes an energetic explosion that throws the cover several feet into the air, but otherwise does not affect the apparatus.
