Pour Spout Vase (Carafe)
thingiverse
I am currently away from my printer, so this vase is untested at this time. Printing: Vase Mode, 0 Infill, 1.5 mm line width. Then change Top/Bottom Line Width back to your nozzle size, usually .4. 1.5 to 2 mm bottom thickness. You might wonder why you do this. You revert the top and bottom back to .4 to keep them small and tight. If you print the top and bottom at the 1.5 line size, you will essentially be printing a screen on the bottom. Keep them small and tight, and if everything goes right, it should hold water. I did a lot of slicing before uploading to check angles. The maximum angle at any point in the design is 54 degrees. If you want to use supports, do so only on the build plate. It will place roughly seven supports around the base of the vase for the textured area. The textured area serves two purposes: one is to make it more visually appealing, and the second is as a textured handhold. For comparison, I use an Ender 3 and with my stock fan setup, I can get up to 60-65 degrees before failure. I try to design below that threshold so people don't have problems with the print. At 100%, it stands 188 mm tall and is 120 mm at its widest point, and the base is 85 mm in diameter. You can scale this to your liking. I will be testing this print as a gift for a friend and printing it in Silk Silver. If you print it, please post a Make. If you have issues with it, please tell me what they are and where the problem was so I can adjust the design.
