Potting jacket for an 8mm to 10mm or 8 mm to 8mm inline cable splice
thingiverse
This is a set of Cable splice jackets made to be used with scotchcast cable jacketing resin for making inline tether splices for underwater vehicles or other electrical cable repairs. Designed to fit the 8mm yellow blue robotics tether cable on one end and a Seacon 10mm diameter cable on the other end, other diameters are certainly possible. It is held in place during curing by four 35-ish mm long M3 bolts and nuts. Bluerobotics forum user Mark Langille (aka schoonerlabs) has provided excellent detailed pictures of a PLA version of this mold in use. All image copyrights for those pictures remain with Mark, as they are his property. I made one also, but unfortunately, I lost the pictures on my SD card.
