Potter Wheel Tools
thingiverse
I've been searching for designs for tools that can be used on a potter's wheel, but I couldn't find any, so I decided to create my own library of the most common ones used by potters. As I develop my technique for making mugs, I'll continue to add more tools to this kit. Most of these tools will be made from materials like wood or similar natural resources that are easily accessible. Here's a list of some of the tools you can expect to find in this library: N1 and N5 - Scrapers: These versatile tools come in different shapes and sizes, but they all share one thing in common - they're used for scraping away excess clay from your creations. N2 - Round Scraper: This is a must-have tool for any potter. It's designed to scrape away excess clay from the inside of your mug or other vessels. N3 - Knife with filets: This knife is perfect for trimming and shaping the edges of your pottery. The filets on the blade make it easy to get into tight spaces. N3-2 - Knife without filets: This knife is similar to the one above, but it doesn't have any filets on the blade. It's great for making straight cuts or scraping away excess clay from larger surfaces. N4 - Calipers / M3 bolt and nut needed: These calipers are essential for measuring the size of your pottery as you work. They come with an M3 bolt and nut that can be used to attach them to a stable surface. I hope this library of tools is helpful to you. If you have any recommendations or feedback, please don't hesitate to share them.
