I'm Growing Herbs So I Created a Planter with Built-in Water Level to Prevent Drowning - Follow My Steps to Build Your Own! First, gather all your necessary materials: some basic crafting skills and tools. Now let's move on to the plan! The key is to make a potted plant holder that's not only decorative but also functional. To begin with, you'll need a base or bottom for your plant stand. This can be a wooden plate or even just an empty tin. Don't worry if it looks bland - we're about to get creative! Now, add some depth by cutting a rectangular slot at the very top of this piece. I like using an X-Acto knife for these small details, as they offer incredible control. Let's work on adding a water reservoir underneath! We need space between each level, so I'm gonna drill two holes in my tin using a hole saw attachment. For a wider design option, we could scale this planter up or add additional tiers.
