Shameless plug: I directly copied the design from this site:\r\nhttps://ozo-electric.com/en/cycle-analyst/805-support-potentiometre-v3-sur-le-guidon.html\r\n The main reason was simplicity! There's another housing for a CA V3 potentiometer available here on thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1425715\r\n It tries to mimic the vertical position from the standard poti you can get from Grin:\r\nhttps://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/ca-accessories/aux-input/ca3-aux-al.html\r\n While the Grin version is cool with the Aluminum mount, I still find it pretty pricey at 25 USD.\r\n Even when getting a Vishay P16 poti with 4.7 kOhm for 10 Euros, you stay well below 15 bucks if you do it yourself. Plus, you can even lower the price more by using a cheaper potentiometer.\r\n There was another German company selling both the potentiometer as well as an aluminum bracket mimicing a similar position for the poti. Somehow they decided to stop selling this stuff.\r\nI designed this thing with a cable hole on both sides to enable people to mount it on both sides of the handlebar. Mounting is done with two zip ties. Over the last few weeks, I have fallen in love with using a potentiometer for adjusting the PAS base power level on the CA. It's both faster and more intuitive than a pair digital buttons. Especially when going to max power shortly prior a hill or steep ramp.\r\n I printed it in PLA with 100% infill, but if you need more strength I would go at least for PETG. Be careful not to wiggle too much when you have attached your poti holder to the handlebar.
