Ear Saver and Face Mask Reposition Device: This ear saver is designed to enhance lateral seal and comfort for healthcare professionals. For those wearing non-rigid surgical masks for droplet + isolation protocol, specifically non-aerosol generating procedures. A posterior strap retention device can significantly improve the lateral seal of the surgical mask. Be sure to carefully adapt the metal frame over the nose and conduct seal tests as always. The concept is to lower the inferior attachment point for the facemask to provide a better cheek adaptation and prevent leaks. It can also greatly enhance ear comfort when face masks are worn for extended periods. This device can be scaled to fit individual needs. It is not designed to be used with horizontal strap masks. This can be utilized for both N95 style respirators and standard surgical masks. The minimalist design allows for effortless storage and rapid manufacturing. With a standard .4mm nozzle, eight devices can be printed in one hour. With a .6mm nozzle, twelve devices can be printed in an hour. A maximum of twenty harness devices can be printed at once on a standard PRUSA bed. The device can be wiped down with cold sterilization liquid. Avoid heat and do not autoclave.
