Poster Holder (Laser Cut)

I was taking my Digital Art class and I had to find a way to transport my artwork home without damaging it. Poster tubes were not durable enough for me, so I designed this poster holder to make it easier to carry them around. It can hold posters of average size, from 8.5 x 11 inches to 17 x 22 inches. I hope you will find this design useful in your art projects. When gluing the poster holder together, use clamps to secure it on all sides because the material may bend slightly and cause the box joints not to fit properly. I used a 1/4 inch x 5 inch bolt, but a metric bolt between 110mm-120mm would work better. Don't forget you will need an M4 nut to go with it. I designed this poster holder in Autodesk Fusion 360. As you can see from the pictures, the bolt slides through the slot in the handle to hold it securely in place. Make sure to use 5mm wood when laser cutting.
