Update 4/22/2019: Seth's Bike Hacks is a fantastic YouTube channel that deserves your attention if you're not already following it. Seth recently posted another hacks video showcasing how valve stem nuts from Presta valves can be used to achieve the same result as this device. If you have a stash of those little nuts like I do, this might be a better option for you. When working on bikes with disc brakes, I frequently need to remove the brake caliper from the frame or fork, and I always try to leave the caliper mounting screws and any spacers or washers in place so they don't get lost. Previously, I've used one of my existing spacers, like the 203mm rotor spacer visible in the second photo, but not everyone has access to those handy tools, so here's a simple device designed specifically to capture caliper mounting screws and keep spacers and washers from falling out and getting lost during maintenance. To use it, have it on hand when you're about to remove the brake caliper. As you unscrew the brake caliper from the frame or fork, you can then reinstall it on this holder. You could tighten it down, but that's not necessary - all you need is a thread or two engaged so it holds the screws in place. I've included provision for an 8x3mm rare earth magnet in the back, allowing you to stick it to a work stand or toolbox and keep it within easy reach. The 8x3 magnets were purchased to make an extruder spinner for my Prusa printer, but since you get 100 when you only need one or two, I've been using them in my designs. They do work well, though. I also added a 1/4" hole for those who love keeping tools on pegboards like me. If you don't want the version with the pegboard hole, I've provided an STL without it as well. Thanks to Peter Verdone for providing reference material from his wiki.
