Well, the shower head of my wife is pretty much at the end of its life, so what do I do? Go on Thingiverse and look for a new one! To my surprise, there were pretty much no shower heads with handles, so I fired up OpenSCAD and quickly designed my own. Here you go! The shower head is pretty basic and connects to a European standard showering hose (Whitworth G1/2 thread). If you need another threading, open up the .scad and exchange the "thread.stl" with an .stl of your needed threading (10 mm height) and you should be fine to go from there. The .scad is provided just for tinkerers and for changing the threading. There are no customizable variables set and no commenting to speak of. Use it at your own risk! PS: The version shown on the photos is a slightly older one. The new one is slimmer - therefore imho sexier - and uses less material (~75%). Print Settings Printer: Folger Tech Kossel 2020 Rev.B Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.40 nozzle, 0.25 mm layer height Infill: 40% - less might be okay, too. Notes: Prepare for a long print - it took me around 8 hours. Surprisingly, this seems to print best when the shower head top is on the print bed surface (so that the screw/threading is pointing upwards at an angle). The handle and the screw will print fine without supports, as the angles are all around 15° and the exterior bridging is very minor. All major bridging is inside the shower head and will not show on the final product. I recommend using quite a significant brim (5 mm or more) to have good bed adhesion. Print with a little bit of overfill to be sure that the housing is waterproof. But not so much as to close down the small holes (they are 1.4 mm in diameter - so you need A LOT of overfill to actually close them). OpenSCAD rules! Learn it, use it and donate!
