This is an upgraded replacement post clamp shell designed for a contemporary Craftsman drill press with a 2 1/4 inch post diameter. Internal components are excluded and must be carefully transferred from the existing unit to ensure seamless functionality. The original part has been discontinued due to its inherent design flaws, which often result in inaccurate clamping; this replacement model offers improved performance and ensures straight, square alignment.
