Possessor
sketchfab
I modeled a creature during the Summer Arts program in Fresno, CA, where I took part in a two-week course called Creature Workshop for Animation. First, I created concept art of my creature, 'Possessor,' who is supposed to be a ghost but ended up looking more like a zombie due to my design. Next, I used Chavant clay to create 3D models of our creatures. We employed one of two methods - photogrammetry or a white laser scanner - to transfer the clay sculptures into the computer. After transferring the process, I cleaned up the model's geometry using Zbrush and then imported it into Maya to set up a rig for the creature. To create a simple rig that could mimic my motion capture animation, I used Mixamo. Finally, after attaching the creature mesh with the motion capture rig, I put the animated creature in Marmoset Toolbag and created a short animated clip.
