Seeking an affordable hand model? Struggling with art school expenses or a tight budget? Tired of exorbitant prices for hand models? Print your own hand using a friend's 3D printer! Display it on your desk or use it to hold items. Challenge yourself by creating a hand model – they're tricky but rewarding to make! The image shows a hand at 50% scale, so be sure to print at 100% for full-sized results. Assembly is easy, with the smaller version designed for simple gluing. Knuckles require glue and vise drying, while other parts need no sanding unless your printer's quality is subpar. Drill a 1/16-inch bit for 1.8 PLA spikes at 50% scale, using 3/8 washers and 1/4 screw on the balance arm. At 100%, use 3mm PLA spikes but note that functionality may be compromised due to weight. Print with support for cleaner results, using .15 layer height, a slight infill, two outer walls for hole tooling, and two solid layers.
