The 3D scan underwent meticulous refinement with Netfabb and Blender, resulting in a remarkably detailed portrait. Originally, this head belonged to a statue of a dignified gentleman clad in a chlamys, an ancient Greek garment characterized by its concise design. This statue was a representation of a regional governor from Carie, a territory known for its rich history and cultural heritage. On the base of the statue, a remarkable inscription was etched, showcasing the subject's accomplishments. The text, written in old Greek, reads: "Christ, born of Mary, my God, save me."
