A prolific creator of genre statuettes and portraits, she also worked as a painter. Werner studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts from 1884 to 1892. In 1888 and 1890, she received incentive medals, while in 1891, she won a small silver medal for her bas-relief "Hercules and Omphale." The following year, Werner was awarded a small gold medal and the title of second-degree class artist for her alabaster work "Susanna." Adele Werner lived and worked in St. Petersburg.
