Portrait of Artist Petr Buchkin is part of Muzeon Park of arts founded in 1992, originally designed as an artistic park thanks to its neighborhood with Tretyakov gallery and Central House of Artists, along with cultural and architectural monuments from XVII-XX centuries. The nineties and zeroes saw the park become a Muscovites' favorite walking spot due to its convenient location and well-manicured grounds. Over 700 sculptures reside in Museon's collection, many showcasing outstanding Soviet epoch masterpieces, including a Mukhina monument, Shadr's work honoring Maxim Gorky, or Vychetch's "Stand to the death" sculpture fragment replica.
