Portrait of Alexander the Great
myminifactory
Alexander the Great, also known as Alexander III or Alexander of Macedonia, was born in 356 BCE in Pella, a city located in northwestern Greece, near modern-day Thessaloniki. He would later become king of Macedonia from 336 until his death in 323 BCE, achieving incredible feats that transformed the ancient world. With unyielding ambition and military prowess, Alexander overthrew the Persian Empire, expanding Macedonian influence to the Indian subcontinent. His conquests laid the groundwork for a Hellenistic era characterized by territorial kingdoms and a cultural fusion of Greek and Eastern traditions. Despite being celebrated as a legendary hero in his lifetime, the historical record reveals a more complex figure than popular myth might suggest. This object is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking initiative founded by MyMiniFactory to create a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe.
