Portrait Curved Lithophane Stand
thingiverse
After having some friends ask about more portrait oriented lithophanes, I decided to try my hand at creating one from AlphaKing's original work. I haven't put a lot of images to test with it yet, so your mileage may vary, but I like it so far. That said, the lithophanes are tall on this base. The COB lights are bright, but I can't say with certainty that you won't notice some lack of light towards the top. Create your images with the curved lithophane at lithophanemaker.com with the following settings: Frame on top and bottom 189 height 125 angle Frame width 4 mm Frame height 5 mm ***Image notes*** Make sure your image is in 4:3 ratio in portrait mode before taking it to the lithophane maker site. ****Since you can't be sure what size photos people may send you, make sure to check the size of the lithophane BEFORE you print! If you orient the lithophane where the long side is on the Y, make sure the size is 112.9684. The X will be 36.1135. If these aren't the measurements you get, recreate the lithophane by adjusting the height to try to compensate. I had one image that I needed to drop down to 188 from 189 to get it inside those parameters. Slice to your preference. Enjoy!
