The Portonaccio Sarcophagus is a 2nd-century ancient Roman coffin discovered in Rome's Portonaccio neighborhood, now housed at the Museo Nazionale Romano (palazzo Massimo). Dating from 190 to 200 AD, it served as the burial site of a Roman general who participated in campaigns led by Marcus Aurelius and features designs reminiscent of those seen on the Column of Marcus Aurelius.
