University Portfolio Assignment: Week-by-Week Progress Update As I tackle this university assignment, I'm excited to share my progress so far in creating a stunning portfolio piece. For week one, I've made significant strides by blocking out the large to medium shapes that will form the foundation of my character model. This initial stage sets the tone for what's to come, and I'm thrilled with how it's taking shape. Moving into week two, I refined muscle definition and added intricate details such as wrinkles, giving my character a more realistic appearance. This step-by-step process allows me to fine-tune each aspect of my model, ensuring that every detail is meticulously crafted. In week three, I embarked on a complete overhaul of the muscle structure, reimagining the entire face from scratch. I also created a low-poly version, which enabled me to bake textures, rig the character, weight paint, and even auto-rig it using Maya's powerful tools. This marked a major milestone in my project, as I successfully brought my character to life. For week four, I focused on finalizing the posed character, addressing any texture issues that had arisen along the way. With each passing day, my model has grown more lifelike and engaging, reflecting hours of dedication and hard work.
