This mount is designed specifically for a Porter Cable heat gun, model PC1500HG, which packs a powerful 1500-watt punch. I intentionally crafted it to be installed on a flat surface, allowing the gun to sit at an upright angle of precisely 30 degrees. To create holes, simply use a drill or transfer a pattern from tape or paper onto the design for precise drilling. There are multiple models available, each tailored for mounting on either the LEFT or RIGHT SIDE of a table. This flexibility means you don't need to flip any axes in a slicer, making the process even more streamlined. The right side files are designed specifically for mounting on the right side of a table, while left side files are optimized for the left side of a surface. I've included two versions of the mount: a smaller width plank version that measures approximately 30mm wide and another version that's around 50mm wide. This ensures you have the perfect fit for your needs. When printing this design, I recommend orienting it like a soda can, with the cylinder perpendicular to your print bed. To achieve this, select one of the bottom surfaces of the cylinder as the surface to align to the print bed. Be cautious when selecting the flat edge, as the insides of each end have a small radius, making it essential to choose the correct one. Supports from the build platform alone will suffice, especially since they help maintain the edges of the plank, which is a relatively minor amount of support required. As for infill, I recommend using 30% or 100%, depending on your specific needs and preferences. In my case, I opted for 30% infill with a thick shell, allowing me to place infill in areas where it was most beneficial. The number of walls you use will also impact the final result; typically, I opt for five or six top/bottom/shells and perimeters.
