So this project is really wrapping up now. I swapped out the two-liter tank for a four-liter one, which should do the trick given our CO2 regulator setup. It seems that just one sixteen-gram tube does run out around the time we finish the beer at 1.1 bar pressure. I also scored an excellent Perlic faucet with flow control recently, and let me tell you - it's made all the difference in the world! As I'm putting this down, I'm working on a tactical nuclear penguin tap handle to go with our portable setup. Check out the guy on the shirt over at the link below. I might have more use for this project later, if things work out as planned. Lastly, I got my hands on a portable picnic cooler made from fabric and plan on converting it to fit our faucet perfectly. Original post So, I spent New Year's in Las Vegas. On Fremont Street, I found this really cool craft beer place that was called Banger Brewing - I think that's what they were called! There was a burger joint with an enormous scale next door. Anyway, I bought a stainless growler full of IPA after leaving Las Vegas for San Diego and Santa Monica and spent two whole weeks there. I sort of forgot about the growler. When we got back to Sweden and unpacked, I discovered my growler waiting for me - and so the project began! It turned out all the parts needed for this were available on eBay. If you're getting a faucet, do get one with flow control; I'm definitely replacing mine. You can even find different keg sizes if you look hard enough. To get everything set up: 1. Print off all your parts. 2. Drill four holes in that keg and screw the bits into place. 3. Get that line from the regulator onto top of the beer (just one small hole needed here). 4. Figure out how to run the other tube to the bottom of the growler - a bit of puzzle-solving is required, but it's doable! Once everything's finished, fill 'er up with cold brew and get ready for a fun picnic outing! My insulation was made using just an old jacket sleeve. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: P3 Steel wide Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Notes: Infill needs to be high for the keg fittings - I used one hundred percent for that bit! Also, be sure "Part Six" gets laid flat on your print surface - not sure what happened with my setup either, to tell the truth.
