Portal Turret for Amazon Echo and Google Home
thingiverse
I fell for the April Fool's prank with the Amazon Echo Portal Turret and now I desperately want one. So, I took out my 3D printer and created this thing myself! First off, thanks go out to the talented projects by Esoxjrinwi, TinkeringT, and maxr525 - I used their designs to create my own Amazon Echo Portal Turret. To access the files: I scaled them down to one-tenth of their original size because this thing stands at about 70cm high. If you want to print it, here are some details about mine: Material: 3000g PLA Time: 300 hours Yes, this turret took a lot of time and material, but in the end, I'm thrilled with how it turned out! Just scale up by a factor of ten. I don't think many people will print it because it takes so long and uses a lot of material. I recommend checking the panels (for the feet) - they don't fit perfectly together. To fix this, I cut some material away and screwed it together. In the future, I plan to give this thing a paint job. I'd love to hear your opinions on it, and maybe someone will help me iron out any small issues that come up.
