Portal Radio (Perfect Mesh)
thingiverse
I imported this mesh file directly from the game using an assortment of tools, making sure to capture every detail with precision. The polygons are exact replicas of what you see in-game. Scale may be off due to my uncertainty about the correct unit - I assumed millimeters, but it's possible that centimeters would have been more accurate. Print at a 10x scale for a true-to-life representation or adjust to your liking. I've also been working on creating a hollow version of this model, where you can embed a Bluetooth speaker. Unfortunately, progress is slow due to my current workload. I removed the antenna as it was excessively large and thin. If you'd like to recreate it, consider using piano wire or something similar to fit into the existing hole. For accuracy's sake, measure your print from the bottom to the flat top of the volume knob. Your antenna should extend to a height where the distance between the radio's bottom and the tip of the antenna is 2.17 times taller than it was originally - or simply make it more manageable if you prefer.
