My portable gateway was constantly running out of juice! To avoid waiting for galactic inspections, I simply printed off this wireless charger. Print Settings Rafts: No, none needed at all. Supports: Not required on this print. Resolution: The printer will be set to a super fine resolution of 0.2mm. Post-Printing Grab the inductive charging set, plug, and power supply from Adafruit: Get your hands on these must-have items from their website: Inductive Charging Set - 5V - https://www.adafruit.com/products/1407 A simple panel mount barrel jack to finish the look: http://www.adafruit.com/products/610 And a high-quality 9VDC power supply that will provide the necessary juice: http://www.adafruit.com/products/63 The receiving charging coil needs to go in the portable gateway itself (located in the circular cutout), where it must be carefully soldered to the input of the LiPo battery pack. On the base, plug in the other charging coil (inserting it into the matching circular opening). Attach the panel mount barrel jack to the backside of the base, making sure all wires are securely connected with some careful soldering. For best results, align these charging coils quite precisely before calling it a day. I used a generous dollop of hot glue for added security. And that's about it! Once you plug in your power and your portal gun, you'll be reaping the benefits of wireless charging – a future indeed made possible by sheer ingenuity!
