<h3>Aperture Science Laboratories – We innovate science!</h3><p>I like the overall aesthetics of the Portal games a lot. So, to fill a blank spot on a wall, why not use an oversized Aperture Labs logo?</p><h4>The logo</h4><p>This print represents the Aperture Science Laboratories logo as it is present in the modern era within the Portal games.</p><p>Printed in its original size, the logo measures about 110 x 28 cm. However, it can be printed at any size. The logo is slanted around the centre horizontal line so that the depth decreases towards the top and bottom edges. This yields a uniform stepped look that is more or less visible depending on your layer height.</p><p>Surface patterns will barely be visible as long as your layer height is thin enough or if you increase the number of perimeters, for instance. To improve the print time, you may just print the slanted part in greater detail. I for myself also printed all parts without bottom layers.</p><h4>Included Files</h4><p>The logo itself is available as a single file that can be split into separate objects for printing one part or letter after the other. PrusaSlicer does a great job with auto-arranging all parts.</p><p>Additionally, you may want to print the stencil parts which can be glued together to allow you to place all logo parts accurately.</p><p>With an MK3S, I needed 4 runs with a fully packed printing board for the logo part and two for the stencil.</p><h4>Assembly</h4><p>Print all stencil parts and glue them together. Position and temporarily fix the entire stencil on your wall and place all parts and letters one by one by putting them in their respective spots. Once all parts were placed and fixed, remove the stencil.</p><p>For science!</p>
