The creator has shared their progress and assured that despite the complex nature of the model, rendering will eventually be completed. They mentioned that users can adjust the $fn variable at the beginning to create smoother curves, but this may increase render time. Other projects have taken priority for now, but once finished, the creator will update the space with the final model. The turret design is based on measurements from Portal, Portal 2, and related promotional materials, accurately representing its actual size. Updates include parameters for size and thickness of shell, module-enabled parts, successful printing of all shell parts with Makerbot, and addition of black feet to the legs. Instructions are provided to print each STL raftless with supports, using acetone to join upper and lower halves if necessary. A user has even shared pictures of a 1/10 scale Shapeways print.
