To prevent coffee grounds from overflowing, I constructed this accessory for my Rancilio Silvia espresso maker; however, it can be adjusted to suit other baskets too. It performs exceptionally well. Upon reprinting with an upgraded printer, the fit was slightly tighter, so I placed the portafilter basket in a warm oven (around 200C) and then inserted the ring for a perfect fit.
