Portable Thermal Camera - AMG8833
thingiverse
This is an incredibly affordable and portable thermal camera, built with a module from banggood and a few easily accessible items that can be found at poundland (or ebay, wherever you may need to look). Total Cost = £42. It has been designed so that no soldering is required; all that's needed are two parts to print. Parts Required: 1x AMG8833 IR 8x8 Infrared Thermal Imager Array ~ £40 (link at the bottom). 1x Poundland £1 PowerBank (the cheapest kind of powerbank available). 1x M3 nut and Bolt, which is >= 8mm in length (you can get this in the assorted nut and bolt kit for £1 from poundland again). Assembly: 1. Once you have all your parts, open up the power bank by popping the bottom off (see images). 2. Then put the circuits inside the printed enclosure (see images; no modification is required). 3. Put your M3 nut in the recess on the back and screw the bolt in from the front. Done! You can use the short charging cable provided with the powerbank to power the module, or charge the battery via usb. Hopefully that's simple enough, and I hope someone else finds it as handy as I have.
