This .zip file contains all project files, including assemblies, images, videos, and calculations used in designing a car ramp system. The zip file allows easy uploading of materials. Should download issues arise, individual file uploads are available upon request. The design principle is based on an electric motor or human-powered hand crank rotating a bevel gear reduction system. This system drives a power screw connected to ramps via a bracket, converting rotary motion to linear for car raising/lowering. Guide flanges in the ramps and trailer frame maintain stability. Videos show mechanics, while adjustable hitch connection and ramp height cater to different vehicles or garage storage. The 20x8 ft concrete slab is a size reference. Solidworks 2013 was used for design creation, with Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design book referenced for equations on screw force systems. Calculations prove the motor's power is sufficient and torque can be produced by human or electric motor; safety features include bolt-nut set-up as a safeguard. Future detailed analysis should focus on strength optimization.
