A portable key that can be used for straight operation. I created two versions. One operates without bearings and works very smoothly, with a little sanding of the parts that fit together. The second version requires two ball bearings 3x10x4. Those worked great for me: http://eu.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-10pcs-623-ZZ-3x10x4mm-Deep-Groove-Ball-Bearings-Miniature-Bearings-wp-Eu-81182.html. The lever is designed to have a 3.5mm gold contact bullet connector fitted in, which is used as one of the two contacts. Something like that: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/polymax-3-5mm-gold-connectors-10-pairs-20pc.html. You can use either male or female connectors. The counterpart is a contact broken out of a Deans T-plug, similar to this one: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/nylon-t-connectors-male-10pcs-bag.html. You can also use something different that fits into the slot I made for easier positioning. As a socket for the cable, I use a 3.5mm socket. I purchased mine from Amazon. https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008SO06TU. It's not the best quality, but it works. I shortened the two pins that go to the gnd and the middle section of the plug so my youkits HB1B identifies it as a straight key. I glued everything in place with hot glue. You can view photos of the parts needed and the completed assembly after I build my next key. Unfortunately, I don't have any separate parts here that aren't already glued together. I don't use springs but instead use neodymium magnets. For the screw, I use two 5x2mm pieces, and for the lever, I use two 8x2mm pieces. The tension can be adjusted by using the screw to bring the magnets closer together or further apart. Magnets: http://www.banggood.com/20pcs-N40-D8x2mm-Neodymium-Magnets-Rare-Earth-Strong-Magnet-p-972806.html, http://www.banggood.com/30pcs-D5x2mm-N35-Neodymium-Magnets-Rare-Earth-Strong-Magnet-p-981726.html. You will also need a bolt M3 22mm and a nut M3 to assemble it. If you request, I can upload a step file or export something else from Fusion360 so you can make changes to the dimensions. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge creator pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: Case and base lever 20%, screws 100% Notes: The case needs to be flipped 180° to print. Screws are best printed at a higher resolution, but 0.2 works too. Use 100% infill for the screws, and the rest with 20%.
